The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) is designed to bring skilled workers to smaller, rural, and remote communities across Canada. It offers a direct pathway to permanent residence (PR) for individuals who wish to work and settle in these regions.
Canada has selected 14 participating communities that demonstrated their ability to welcome and support newcomers. Local employers in these communities are authorized to hire skilled migrants for roles they cannot fill with local workers.
Who Can Apply
- Skilled workers interested in long-term settlement in rural and remote Canadian communities.
- Applicants who receive a valid job offer from an approved employer in one of the designated communities.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, candidates must:

Steps to Apply
1. Get a Job Offer
- Search for eligible positions with designated employers in the chosen community.
- Obtain a formal job offer approved by the community.
2. Apply for Permanent Residence
- Submit your PR application online.
- Include all required forms, supporting documents, and fees.
3. After Applying
- If your application is approved, you will receive confirmation of permanent residence.
